eP Team Goes Social

For many in the education field, students and faculty alike, it has brought a lot of uncertainties. Of the many concerns expressed by the educational community, one of the most significant has been  which digital platforms can be used to facilitate remote learning.

To address the challenges brought on by the transition to online distance learning, the ePortfolio program expanded its support for faculty and students to include platforms such as Blackboard, CUNY Webex, Instagram and Facebook.

The ePortfolio team now communicates and provides support for faculty, staff, and students through these online digital tools, using Blackboard Collaborate Ultra and CUNY Webex to facilitate e-Portfolio workshops and training in an online format and to develop resources in preparation for these workshops. We support and engage students through  use of social media platforms such as Facebook, and Instagram, where we also  disseminate information about the resources available to them.

Although we don’t know what the future may hold, the ePortfolio team will continue to support and engage faculty and students for the remainder of the remote learning period. The team will continue to explore and look for alternatives to offer support, and add new online digital tools as they emerge.
